Look honey. I totally get it. It's like you looked up and you can't figure out how the day got by you. Like what in the world happened here. Oh, by the way. My name is Dena, and I am a boy mom. That's right. Two boys. One is grown and recently graduated from college (we will talk about that fun journey, LOL) that just landed a full-time gig and decided to make the desert his home (born and raised in Los Angeles). The other is a BEYOND ENERGETIC 10-year-old who likes to live life on the edge and I'm still trying to figure out where he stores all of this energy. It's like its non-stop. And on top of being a mom I work full time, manage my own e-commerce business, the youth and young adult director at church, a friend, a wife, I love to help people and that all comes with looking up at the clock and wondering how the day is almost over.

It seems like the more that I think that I'm staying ahead of the day the day gets by me and TRUST AND BELIEVE ME that I am a Type A planner, organizer, and all of that jazz. BUT, I had to learn that some days it will just be like that where the day beat me to it and that it is ok. However, it took me a lifetime to get to that point. I used to feel that I HAD TO BE IN CONTROL of everything and all at once. Life has a way of reminding you who's the boss.

We are moms, and moms are supposed to have it all together, but the truth of the matter is that we don't. We get just as crazed as the next person (maybe more or it could just be me). We have SO MUCH on our plates that it can be overwhelming what seems to be all of the time. I'm here to YELL TO YOU that it's ok to take a step back, forget about the clock and just do what you can that the day will allow you. Whatever you don't get to the world will not hold it against you and your kids surely won't. They have already created a reality that they are enjoying with their toys, electronics, friends, or anything that may accept their creative self at that moment.

You are a great mom. You can do it. Take a deep breath and let's crush it out together.
