MOM: The master of all things that happen in one single day.
Ultimate Guide to being able to manage as much of your time effectively all while having time to yourself for that moment of relaxation.

The first thing that comes to mind when a book report is due, or shuffling the kids to and from school to practice or even just getting them ready for the next day is that Mom will take care of it. How are we to take care of everything when we have everything to do? Planning anything can be very challenging to do especially when your mind is racing of the million and one things that you already have to do on top of what is just now being requested of you. Well in just a few short minutes I hope that we can gather closely around the laptop or phone to read how this is actually achievable. Planning deadlines and a sense of urgency are actually a very good niche of mines with me being a Director of Human Resources; it's like managing my home away from home. Everyone needs something and everything is urgent and has a RIGHT NOW DEADLINE.
How is managing time even possible?
It could be as simple as 1-2-3 or as complex as building the geometry; it's all in the approach. One of the most basic steps that can be taken, and it may sound so ancient but it's a system that actually can work and that is to write it all down. That good ole things to do list by priority can help you focus on the task at hand even if it for managing your busy household. Get a planner. They are really loads of fun when they are utilized the right way. And it doesn't have to have all of the bells and whistles to it, but it can help. My best ones have come from simple places like Dollar Tree and Big Lots. I have never paid more than $10 for a planner. Now don't get me wrong I would love to bask in the presence of the stickers and the different color pens but that doesn't work for my busy life. However, if it works for you then by golly do it. If you see it written out your brain will remember that it needs to be done and it holds you accountable and it feels so good to cross it off the list.

How to really make it count and watch it all unfold.
You really have to just dive right it headfirst or feet first depending on how deep things have gotten. A good tool to use that is completely free is planning ahead. From getting your clothes, accessories and lunch together the night before the same can go for the kids. So many times, we get caught in the I can do this in the morning and the morning is a time of chaos just to get out the door and when you're halfway to work you realize that you left your lunch right there on the kitchen counter. BUMMER!!! Has happened to me a few times.
You have to be realistic on what you can actually handle. I know for me I would say yes to EVERYTHING because I wanted to be the person that everyone could depend on and then I would look up at all of the work that I had to do just because I said yes and that left my projects to have to suffer. NO THANK YOU. It's ok to say no. No one's going to hate you. They may be a little disappointed but it's not the end of the world and you will be amazed at how quickly people get over things. It is ok to ask for help. Whether it's from one of the kids, your significant other, family or a friend. You don't want to overload yourself when you are trying to organize your time with all that you do.
There are simple things that you can do at home that will hold everyone accountable for their own actions. Chore chart to manage the kids responsibilities throughout the house. Time chart to help notify the entire house even yourself on what time things need to happen. Whether it's shower time, reading time or just personal time you have it sketched out and it will force you to make it happen.

But Can It Really Be Done?
The answer is YES IT CAN. But don't push yourself to get it done overnight. Change does take time and if you try and overload yourself to be an even greater supermom overnight that's where the overwhelming feeling can come in. BABY STEPS! Remember that Rome wasn't built in a day so why should you expect to have this all figured out in eight hours. It's ok. The point is that you make the strides to meet your goals. If that is a weekly goal or a monthly goal the fact is that you are doing it.
